Weekend ahead
25/01/2008This afternoon at Wolverhampton we run Baharah in the Conditions race at 4pm. It looks a tricky race but we are hopeful of a good run and Hayley Turner rides. Then this evening at Kempton we run Dress to Impress in a 5 furlong handicap with Adam Kirby on board.
Tomorrow sees the welcome return of Silver Pivotal to the racecourse in the 2.50pm at Lingfield. She has been working very well at home and has done a couple of racecourse gallops in preparation. Hayley Turner has partnered her in some work at Lingfield and will be on board tomorrow.
On Sunday we have 2 runners. We run Desert Dreamer at Kempton in a 6 furlong handicap at 4.05pm ridden by Tom Queally, and we also have a runner at Southwell over the sticks! Jafaru who has only ever run on the flat and is under the ownership of the Naughty Forties Partnership nowadays, is making his debut in a maiden hurdle. Jimmy McCarthy has been coming in to school him regularly and he will ride him on Sunday.
Jack Sullivan has recovered well after his disappointing run on the dirt 17th January at Nad al Sheba. He has scoped clean and is due to do a piece of work on the main track under Mick Kinane on Monday. He is then due to run again on 7th February and we will be hoping for a better draw position this time!
