Lingfield Saturday

22/02/2008

Tomorrow we have 3 runners at Lingfield, starting with Bonus who runs in the Cleve Stakes.  He seems to be in good form and has had a short but refreshing break.  I will be very positive about his chances tomorrow but as always in these competitive 6 furlong races at Lingfield you need your share of good luck.

Dansant makes his 2008 reappearance and it seems to be a competitive renewal of the Lingfield Derby Trial.  I have been very pleased with the way he has been training over the last few months and he has done 2 good pieces of work at Lingfield over the last 20 days.  Again in these events, he will need his share of luck to make sure he gets a clear run.

Jack Sullivan as you know has put a few air miles on his clock over the last few months.  He has come back from Dubai in good shape and we are hopeful of a good run.  I am sure that the application of blinkers will have a more than positive effect on him.  As you see we have an exciting day ahead of us.

Earlier this week, I was very pleased that Dress to Impress scored a win for us.  It was not the most competitive race ever at Lingfield, but he won and that’s what counts.  I am sure he will be competitive at this level again.

I was more than pleased with the way Jagger ran at Kempton this week.  He showed a bit of his old sparkle over a trip that was slightly on the short side for him and I am sure it will not be long before he is back to his old successful self now that we’ve got the old amber nectar out of his system!
