Lennox Stakes
09/06/2006Last weekend saw us have our first runners for 3 weeks, and it was wonderful to come back with a winner!
As I said before I was very disappointed with the performances of some of our horses on the racecourse and decided to take it easy for a few weeks but I am now pleased to say that I am a lot happier with them and they seem to be very well in themselves.
We were delighted with Nayyir's win in the Diomed Stakes at Epsom on Saturday, (for the 2 nd time - he also won this race in 2002). Nayyir was given a very cool ride by Frankie (Dettori), and he relished the strong pace winning very comfortably indeed. We have no firm plans for him at the moment but will look at aiming him for the Lennox Stakes at Goodwood.
We also ran Tarfah at Epsom on the Friday in the Princess Elizabeth Stakes and although she was disappointing, a few things have arisen since the run which we can overcome and she will be back in action shortly. We plan to aim her for the Windsor Forest Stakes at Royal Ascot.
We have a few intended runners for Royal Ascot. As well as Tarfah, we have Bayeux and Forgery in the Royal Hunt Cup, and Bayeux and Bonus in the Wokingham Stakes. We will have a relatively quiet weekend with only a couple of runners but we have made a few entries and will have quite a few runners out during the week, including Oscillator who won for us at the end of April.
