Keeneland Sales

14/09/2006

This week I am busy at Keeneland Sales in the US, and so far have bought 2 yearlings and am planning on buying some more. I have bought Lot 658 a chesnut colt by Gulch out of Toberanama which I have bought on spec to sell. He is an exceptionally good looking horse with a very good pedigree, and is a half brother to a very nice horse trained by Mark Johnston called Winged Flight who was given a rating of 90+ after 3 runs. My second purchase who has already been sold was Lot 548 a filly by Elusive Quality out of Ocean Queen.

This weekend we have only one runner, and that is Beauchamp Viceroy who will run at Newbury in a Nursery Handicap over 6f and will be ridden by Darryl Holland. He is looking well and we are hopeful of a good performance from him.

Of our runners last weekend Bayeux ran well at Goodwood but was beaten a neck into 2 nd place which as always is frustrating. Nayyir who ran at York was very disappointing and did not run true to form.
