Jagger blazes to victory at Great Leighs

30/08/2008

JAGGER was an impressive winner at Great Leighs on Thursday, under a great ride from apprentice Tolley Dean. It was JAGGERS first win since returning from a stint Down Under and he looked as if he thoroughly enjoyed the experience, crossing the line with his ears pricked.  "It didn't work out for him in Australia as he couldn't handle the amber nectar so he is back for a bit of warm beer,” said Gerard post race. “He is not the easiest guy in the world so it is well done to the team."

We have no runners today, but FANTASY PRINCESS is set to run at Folkestone on Sunday in a fillies handicap over one mile one furlong, Louis-Philippe Beuzlin will take the ride.

BEAUCHAMP VICEROY has been declared to run at Kempton on Monday in a handicap over one mile two furlongs, Louis has been booked to ride.

After a quiet end to August, we start September with all guns blazing with BAHARAH set to travel to Ireland next week to take her chance in the Group One Matron Stakes at Leopardstown on Saturday. The details have not as yet been finalised and we will have further news next week following the final forfeit stage on Monday.
