Prince Alzain primed for Dubai

Prince Alzain is in good shape ahead of his trip to Dubai. He done a very nice piece of work last week and another nice piece yesterday. His summer coat is trying to come through and he looks a million dollars. We will be aiming towards the UAE Guineas with him and have already booked Ryan Moore to ride him. His style of riding will suit this horse very well and we are delighted to have him. All being well we will go for a Listed race over 1900 metres on March 10th which will then hopefully lead us onto the UAE Derby on World Cup night. I am sure there will be fierce competition as there always is in Dubai but we have a lot of faith in the horse. We truly believe he has huge potential to be very smart indeed. 

We were delighted that Dubai Bounty won for her owners and breeders, Mick & Fiona Denniff at Wolverhampton on Monday. She has had her fair share of issues but finally everything fell right for her and she stormed home by over 2 lengths. Luckily Mick & Fiona were there to greet her in the winner’s enclosure.  We will wait to see what the handicapper does to her but the way she won you would like to think she has another race in her. She has had a very easy week at home since her run and she seems to have come out of the race in one piece which is great news. We will see how we get on with her next week before deciding our next move. 

Our 2yo runners from last year came in from the paddock as lovely strong 3yo’s. They have all been back in full training for a few weeks now and are all doing very well. We will start winding a few of them up over the next few weeks and see exactly where we are with them but we are very pleased with how they have developed over the winter and are excited about their prospects. 

All our new 2yo’s are going great guns. They have been a very straight forward bunch to get going and they all seem to be enjoying their work. They are still all turned out for a few hours in the afternoon which seems to have great benefits to their temperaments. They are a little while off any fast work yet but are all going the right way so far.
