PACHATTACK SET TO BLOOM IN WILD FLOWER
13/11/2009
On Wednesday evening PACHATTACK had her first run on the all weather at Kempton, her race was much anticipated and she faced seven other runners in this one mile two furlong conditions race. Under Franny Norton for the first time PACHATTACK was in contention when she was bumped on the final bend and lost her position, falling back to fourth. Despite this she stayed on well to take second place and it was unfortunate that the incident on the home bend prevented her from challenging the eventual winner ANMAR.
PACHATTACK will now be stepped up in trip for the Listed Wild Flower Stakes over a mile and a half at Kempton on Sunday 29th November, we have won this race for the past two years with DANSANT and it would be nice to complete the hat-trick.
We have two runners on Saturday at Wolverhampton. The first is PRINCESS PIVOTAL who has her second run following on from her debut at Lingfield. We have booked Andrea Atzeni (3) for this one mile maiden and we hope the experience gained from her debut will bring about some improvement in her performance.
Our second runner is CONFIDE IN ME in a one mile handicap for horses rated 0-60. Andrea Atzeni is in the saddle, he gets on well with CONFIDE IN ME having been in the first two home on the three occasions he has ridden him in the past.
We have a quieter period ahead but we are very much looking forward to the Churchill Stakes at Lingfield on Saturday 21st November, where BEAUCHAMP XERXES will be in action. This is a race we have won five times and had two seconds in the last nine years. There is certainly a tradition to uphold, but we are quietly confident of BEAUCHAMP XERXES running very well especially against globetrotting PRESVIS, who is apparently on his way to Hong Kong following this race. He may have to travel out there with his tail between his legs!
We are pleased to say that our yearlings have all been started and are being gradually introduced to their new routine. We will have reports on their progress over the next few weeks.
