Pachattack Aims For The Maple Leaf
23/10/2010
We were very pleased with Pachattack’s efforts in the E.P Taylor.
She came from last to finish a fast finishing 5th and perhaps with a slightly stronger ride may have even finished closer.
However she has come out of the race well and has stayed in Canada to run in the Grade 3 Maple Leaf stakes which is run on the 6th November.
I will be making a flying visit to Woodbine on Wednesday for a Thursday morning gallop and will be home in time for any possible runners here over the weekend.
Akhmatova is returning to Kempton this evening in a bid to land her third win of the season. Her last couple of starts have been encouraging and she has been training well at home. Dane O’Neil is back on board which we think is an added bonus as he knows the filly well, so we are hoping for a good run.
Next week begins with Stef & Stelio and Fine Sight heading north up to Southwell.
Stevie Donohoe will be trying to persuade Stef & Stelio to relive his winning ways of the past and I’m sure he will be hoping for better luck in running on Fine Sight after he was held in the pack for some time in his latest start. We are sure the extra distance will play to his strengths and are hoping for a good run.
Burj Alzain & Full Bloom are waiting in the wings to makes their debuts with entries and Lingfield next week.
Both of these 2 year olds are going very nicely at home and will benefit from a race.
