One for the girls

Firstly, we hope that those of you who visited us over the weekend enjoyed yourselves and thought as much of our new domain as we do!
Secondly, we are over the moon with how our horses have run over the weekend.
Pachattack made up a lot of ground after racing from behind to finish a fast third at Lingfield on Friday. We were very pleased with her run and she has come out of the race well so hopefully it won’t be long before she returns to the winners circle. We don’t have any immediate plans for her so we will just be keeping a close eye on the racing calendar and waiting for an opportunity to arise!
Elliptical ran a belter, despite being 1lb overweight. He was given a perfect ride by C.P Lemaire and a furlong out he looked to of had the race tied up,. Unfortunately for us, those with their eyes on the Mark Johnston horse were thinking the same thing! It was a hard pill to swallow to get beaten a head in such a valuable race but it has left us very optimistic for the season. The target for Elliptical will be the John Smith’s Magnet Cup but we will be looking for a race before then to keep him in the tip top shape that he is in now.
Tinaar wrapped up the increasingly hopeful weekend when winning cosily by 1 ½ lengths in the handicap on Sunday. We had a slight worry when the ground changed and after walking the course we were in 2 minds about running her. Luckily, Tinaar being the professional that she is got to work on the ground without any hint of a problem, and had the rest of the all male field scrapping for a place when she set sail under a confident Frankie Dettori 3 furlongs from home.
The plan for her now is the Lancashire Oaks in July, and hopefully we can pick up some black type in the next couple of months leading up to that.
Mount Hadley will be our next runner when he returns to Southwell under Paul Mulrennan to try his luck in a class 3 handicap. He ran well there last year and will be going into Wednesday’s race of a 7lb lower mark so we would like to see him run up to standard there.
