MUFTARRES BACK AT JULY COURSE
06/08/2009
Following on from last week’s update, both our runners on Saturday were withdrawn, JAGGER was found to be lame and has been retired from racing (please see article on website for further details) and MOUNT HADLEY was struck in to and unfortunately he was not sound enough to run.
On Wednesday CONFIDE IN ME made the trip to Kempton for a one mile, 0-65 handicap. Jim Crowley was in the saddle, and held CONFIDE IN ME at the rear of the field. He made a challenge two furlongs from home, but was unable to reach the leaders and despite a strong finish, was held in sixth.
On Friday evening MUFTARRES runs at Newmarket in a six furlong contest for three year olds and upwards, rated 0-85, Jimmy Fortune will be in the saddle and has been drawn in stall 1 of 9 runners.
We have yet to reach a decision on our runners at the weekend, however entries have been made for Leicester, Redcar and Windsor on Sunday.
On Monday we have a cluster of entries at Southwell and Windsor, declarations will be made on Saturday.
