Minor Blip Ruled Prince Alzain out of France
22/12/2011
Unfortunately, we encountered a slight blip which ruled Prince Alzain out of the race in Deauville. It was a real blow as we had been aiming towards this race for so long. Thankfully, it turned out to be little or nothing, and we were back on track again straight away. There is a nice little spot for him on Boxing Day at Wolverhampton in a novice race which we are going for. We will be running into some stiff competition mainly from the Jeremy Noseda stable, but we are very happy with our horse and have every faith in him. Regular jockey Seb Sanders is suspended but we have a very good substitute in Steve Drown. Steve has a very good strike rate for us and we know his riding style will suit the horse well.
We had to withdraw Dubai Bounty from her race at Lingfield last weekend as her action was causing us some concern. Luckily it didn’t prove to be too significant, and after a few days rest she is 100% again. We have a race in mind for her at Kempton on the 29th December. She will do a piece of work in the morning in preparation for this and hopefully all will go well and we will be on track.
All the team here at Egerton House Stables would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas.
