Maristar set to land her second USA win

Maristar is currently on route to Woodbine where she will line up with 5 others to run in the $100,000 Trillium Stakes. As it stands at the moment she is 2nd favourite to take the prize. 

She has gone from strength to strength since landing on American soil and the opportunities for her in the states are in a league of their own.  She is right on target as far as her training schedule is concerned so we will be going into the race tomorrow with an air of confidence. We are hoping that they will show the race on ATR. It is race number 6 at 8:25 UK time. 

Cala Santanyi will be running in the Tattersalls Cup race tomorrow at Head Quarters. Obviously when you take part in a race of this calibre you can expect tough competition and tomorrow is certainly no exception. The other 11 runners are all extremely talented horses in the prime of their careers. We have always had a lot of faith in Cala Santanyi and know she is potentially a very nice horse and with a total prize fund of £150,000, why not let her take her chance? Prize money goes down to 6th place so if we finish in the first 6 then great! Shane Kelly will be riding her and the ground is just right so I am sure she will try her hardest for us. 

Countess Ellen will run at Windsor on Sunday in a 1m 0-70 handicap race. We have declared her with cheek pieces on in an attempt to encourage her to finish her races. She is fresh and well at home so we hope to see an improvement with first time head gear in place.

Quiz Mistress will be heading to Wolverhampton on Monday for a 0-80 handicap race. She has come on a lot from her experience at Musselburgh earlier in the month and hopefully it has reminded her of what her purpose in life actually is! She has certainly been a lot more on the ball since then and has been working better at home in cheek pieces. The race on Monday looks like a nice little spot for her and hopefully she can run well and gain some confidence and then we can look forward to bigger and better things with her throughout the rest of the season.
