Maktoum Challenge
06/02/2006
All our attention will be in Dubai this Thursday when Jack Sullivan makes his debut in the 2nd round of the Maktoum Challenge which he won last year. He travelled over last Thursday and after a few delays arrived safe and sound. He has settled in to his familiar surroundings very well. Eddie Ahern is booked to ride him and having looked at the entries, I see that there are one or two which we have come up against before. The one to beat is Sheikh Mohammed's Blatant who was quite impressive on his last start in the 1st round of the Maktoum Challenge. He is rated 120 which is quite substantial for the dirt.
Friday sees us represented by Penang Cinta who won his last start at Wolverhampton. We are yet to decide whether he runs but he seems in good form at the moment.
