JAGGER BACK IN ACTION
30/07/2009
Last Friday evening saw MUFTARRES make his debut for the yard at Newmarket July Course. On what was another wet day, the conditions underfoot were not as expected and following a lengthy lay off MUFTARRES was unable to quicken under Louis-Philippe Beuzelin and finished unplaced.
On Saturday AGENTE PARMIGIANO was due to run in the Ladies Amateur handicap at Ascot, but after getting upset in the stalls he was unfortunately withdrawn.
CONFIDE IN ME ran at Lingfield on Saturday evening partnered by Hayley Turner, over a one mile two furlong trip on the turf. Despite racing prominently throughout, he was unable to hold his position two furlongs from home and weakened finishing eighth
TINAAR had her second outing at Ascot last Sunday afternoon in a maiden fillies race over a mile. Eddie Ahern kept a prominent position throughout but struggled to make an impression on the leaders two furlongs from home and finished fourth.
We had two runners on Tuesday, NEW INNOCENCE made the journey north to Beverley to run in a seven furlong maiden for two year olds only. Under Shane Kelly NEW INNOCENCE tracked the early leaders making headway three furlongs from home, but was unable to challenge in the final furlong finishing fourth.
MOUNT HADLEY travelled south to Glorious Goodwood for the first day of the festival. Hayley Turner was booked to ride him in this one mile handicap for three year olds and upwards, rated 0-90. MOUNT HADLEY was tracking the leaders, but lost his place two furlongs from home and was unable to challenge. However he has now been declared to run at Goodwood on Saturday in an apprentice race over one mile one furlong, with Russell Kennemore in the saddle.
On Wednesday evening FANTASY PRINCESS made her return to the track having been out of action since October of last year. With Frankie Dettori in the saddle she raced prominently throughout the one mile one furlong race, but lost her place two furlongs out and was never able to challenge.
Our next runners will be on Saturday, as previously mentioned we send MOUNT HADLEY to Goodwood, and JAGGER will run at Newmarket in a 0-85 handicap over one mile four furlongs and Darryll Holland will ride.
