HERE COME THE GIRLS

On Wednesday afternoon MOUNT HADLEY ran at Ascot in a handicap over a mile for horses rated 0-85. In what proved to be a very competitive handicap, MOUNT HADLEY lead the field under William Buick and looked to be the winner, but TRAFALGAR BAY who had been well supported, ran on to lead in the final furlong and proved too strong for MOUNT HADLEY. Both horses finished clear of the rest of the field.

We have two runners today at Lingfield, BEAUCHAMP VICEROY runs in a 0-105 handicap over one mile two furlongs. It is a very competitive field of nine runners and LADY JANE DIGBY, FORMATION and MONTBRETIA head the market. Eddie Ahern who gets on well with VICEORY will be in the saddle again today.

In the last race on the card, JUST LIKE SILK takes on eight runners in a 0-80 handicap over one mile four furlongs. This is his first try at this trip, having been stepped up to one mile three furlongs at Dundalk last month. Eddie Ahern is the saddle on this occasion and comes up against SEHOY from the inform Gosden stable and SCENE TWO trained by Luca Cumani.

On the eve of the Guineas meeting, we have much to look forward to with four runners over the weekend. GOOD AGAIN has been declared to run at Newmarket on Saturday in the last race of the day, a handicap over a mile for three year olds only, rated 0-105. Eddie Ahern is in the saddle and she has been drawn in stall two of seven runners. GOOD AGAIN made an impressive start to her season when winning a fillies handicap at Lingfield two weeks ago. She has come out of her last race well and is being aimed towards the fillies heritage handicap at Ascot on May 9th, which we won last year with BAHARAH.

AGENTE PARMIGIANO runs at Doncaster on Saturday evening in a Conditions race over seven furlongs. Neil Callan has been booked to ride and has been drawn in stall eight of eight runners. AGENTE PARMIGIANO has been very consistent since the start of the year despite running in very competitive races, he is very well and hopefully conditions at Doncaster will suit him tomorrow night.

On Sunday PACHATTACK makes her season bow at Newmarket in the Listed Pretty Polly Stakes over one mile two furlongs. This will be her second start at Newmarket, having finished fourth in a Group 3 over seven furlongs last October. Eddie Ahern takes over in the saddle on Sunday.

JAGGER makes the long journey down to Salisbury for a 0-105 handicap over one mile six furlongs. Six runners have been declared and Shane Kelly has been booked to ride. This would seem to be JAGGERS preferred trip and it looks like a good opportunity for the gelding.

We have two entries on Tuesday, MONETARY FUND at Chepstow and JADALEE at Southwell. On Wednesday we have four entered at Chester; PACHATTACK in the Cheshire Oaks, JAGGER in the Chester Cup and MONETARY FUND and BEAUCHAMP XERXES in the maiden.

Out two fillies in the Distaff 2 Partnership have now both been named, the ex. Mary Read is called ‘DUBAI BOUNTY’ and the ex. Sweetness Herself ‘SING SWEETLY’. They are both now cantering and have come on considerably over the winter months. DUBAI BOUNTY has a very similar appearance to GOOD AGAIN and hopefully she can emulate her success on the track too.
