Goodwood
30/07/2010
A slightly frustrating week so far from Glorious Goodwood.
We thought TInaar ran a very good race but the fast ground proved to be her undoing.
Paul Hanagan was very complimentary of her after the race and is sure she would run a very different race on easier ground.
Beauchamp Xerxes was at a disadvantage from the word go given his wide draw.
Tom Queally done the best he could from his starting position but unfortunately, it was not to be.
We are very hopeful of a good run from Elliptical who is our last chance of success at Goodwood this year. He runs in the apprentice handicap tomorrow and we are lucky to have one of the leading apprentices, John Fahy on board.
He has been training very nicely and is fresh and well so let’s hope he will bring us some luck!
Rounding up proceedings for this week will Pachattack taking her chance in a listed event at Newbury and Dubai Bounty making the trip up to Chester for a 1 and a half mile handicap.
Both fillies have cracking chances for reasons that are quite obvious!
At the moment, the ground at Chester is good, we hope it doesn’t get any quicker for her so we will be monitoring it very closely.
