Full Bloom set to blossom

28/01/2011

We were a little bit disappointed with Beauchamp Viceroy’s last run having been going so well at home; we were surprised to see him out of the first 2. Perhaps the strong pace early on and not being able to have a breather took its toll on him. Anyway, the main thing is he has come out of the race fresh and well so I am sure there will be another chance for him soon.

Not much to report on our jumps runner from last week. We definitely learnt a lot from the race. He hated the ground and he did not have the stamina to go that distance in the mud. He jumped well however and now we know a bit more about him, we hope he will run better next time out.

Full Bloom is the favourite in a fillies maiden today at Lingfield. We are running her a bit sooner than we had planned however she has come on leaps and bounds since her debut and the race today was an opportunity we didn’t want to miss. Having already been allocated a light weight, Andrew Heffernan will take a further 3lbs off her back leaving her with only 8st2lbs to carry. We see no reason why she shouldn’t justify her favouritism.

Good Again is running tomorrow over 1m2f in a competitive handicap at Lingfield. We think she has a great chance. Her latest run has really sharpened her up and the extra 2 furlongs should benefit her. She has been extremely fresh and well at home and is very happy in herself. Shane Kelly gets the leg up, another advantage as he rode her last time out so knows which buttons to press and when.

Next week is looking pretty quiet at the moment. Stef and Stelio is our only entry just now, but maybe we will have a few more by the end of next week.
