Last weekend, we had a number of runners at various meetings. Nayyir was very disappointing in his race at Goodwood but Jafaru put in another good performance to finish 2nd in the handicap at the end of the day. He had the disadvantage of being drawn in stall 1 but managed to finish well off a very slow pace. He has another entry in a 66-85 handicap next Thursday at Ripon.
We were very pleased with Dansant’s performance at Haydock where he finished 3rd to Eradicate being beaten 2 ¾ lengths. All being well, he will head to the King George V Stakes at Royal Ascot.
We have a few runners this weekend. Spoilsport makes her 2nd appearance for us on Saturday at Bath and Beauchamp Viking has his 2nd run at Lingfield in a 1m 4f maiden. On Sunday El Toreador runs at Salisbury in a 1 mile fillies maiden.
Next week brings the excitement of Royal Ascot. Silver Pivotal is due to work tomorrow in her final preparations for the Ribblesdale Stakes on Thursday. Bonus completed his preparation yesterday with a gentle piece of work at Kempton and Dansant, as mentioned earlier, will also be aimed at the King George V Stakes.
