DANSANT ALL SET FOR THE BIG CAP
27/02/2009
I am pleased to report that DANSANT has arrived safely in America and is presently in quarantine at Hollywood Park. Andrew Morris who has accompanied DANSANT to California reported that he has taken the trip very well and seems to be settling in to his new surroundings. DANSANT will be transferred to Santa Anita on Sunday to begin his preparation for the 72nd running of the Santa Anita Handicap on Saturday March 7th. Please follow the link below to see the nominations.

Until the weights are published we will not be able to confirm the jockey booking, but Tyler Baze and Richard Migliori are shortlisted. Gerard will be flying out to Los Angeles on Tuesday to oversee the final preparations for the race.
We are all very excited about DANSANT’s participation in the ‘Big Cap’ and hope he can follow in the footsteps of SEA BISCUIT, AFFIRMED and more recently LAVA MAN. The race is valued at $1 million and is viewed as one of the most important races for older horses in North America throughout the racing calendar.
We will keep you posted on news from California and notify you of the final card and jockey bookings as soon as they are published.
Back to the domestic action and BONUS was back on the track on Saturday 21st at Lingfield, in a conditions race over a mile. Unfortunately after being held off the pace, BONUS failed to pick up and could only finish in fourth place. We are planning to make an entry for BONUS for Wolverhampton on Saturday 7th March, in a seven furlong Listed race. We will confirm the entry next week.
