Cambridgeshire Meeting
21/09/2006
We have a very quiet weekend coming up as although we had a few entries we felt that there were better opportunities available to those horses over the next week, including the Cambridgeshire Meeting at Newmarket.
Bayeux is entered in a Conditions Stakes at Hamilton on Monday, and as you may remember, the last time he headed north of the border he made the trip worthwhile by winning the Scottish Stewards Cup in fine style. We have also entered Diktatorial in a 1m 5f handicap.
On Tuesday, we have 2 entries at Nottingham. One for All the Good in a 2 mile handicap. I was pleased with his run last time out over this trip. Our other entry at Nottingham is the 2 year old Jafaru, he steps up in trip to 1m 2f for the first time in a Nursery Handicap.
At this time of the year the turf season has only 6 weeks to go – we have already had the last evening meeting of the year, not including the floodlight meetings still to come on the All Weather! However Churn Stables will continue to be busy as it is this time of the year that the yearling sales are getting into full swing.
In our last update we gave details of the 3 American yearlings that Gerard has purchased at Keeneland, and after 30 days of quarantine they will be heading to the UK to be prepared for their racing career as 2 year olds.
Gerard will also be attending all the major sales in the UK and Ireland this autumn and will be starting at the Goffs Sales in Ireland next week, where he will be looking to purchase new prospects for the future from this side of the Atlantic.
If you are interested in being involved in any of our new partnerships that will be set up, or indeed if you wish to discuss your specific requirements as an owner, please do not hesitate to contact Gerard.
To view the pedigrees of the yearlings that have already been bought, please go to the horses for sale section on this website.
