Burj Alzain set for reappearance

08/04/2011

Rainy Champion ran very well first time out at Musselburgh last week to finish second. He understandably ran a bit green but stayed on very well. He had a few easy days and is now back in full training. He is very fresh and well and should be ready for another run in a few weeks.

Prince Apollo was slightly disappointing however the ground ended up being too soft for him and to add to matters, the track did not suit him either. He was fine after the race and is looking and training well at home. He holds an entry at Beverly next week where the ground at the moment is on the faster side which will suit him. We will keep our eye on the race and if all is well we will aim to run him.

Burj Alzain is making his debut for 2011 tomorrow at Lingfield. He is one of ten runners lining up in a very smart one mile listed race. We are pleased with how he has matured over the winter months however we do feel he will benefit hugely from the race.

Today, we entered Pachattack into the Earl of Sefton Stakes at Newmarket next Thursday. She has come to life since her run at Lingfield a fortnight ago and is in great shape. We are happy with how her training program is going and are fully intending to run her.

As you may know, Claire is off for the next 2 weeks as she is getting married. . . . . I tried to warn her!
