Breeders Cup Dreams
22/10/2011
After Pachattack’s phenomenal 2nd in the Grade 1 Juddemont Spinster Stakes, she has had an easy couple of weeks training. She is still as fresh and well as ever and appears to be thriving on her races. The Breeders Cup is next on her agenda which could really top of a good year for her! Andrew is very happy with her physical condition and she we are all very proud of her efforts this year.
Maristar will be aiming towards a Grade 2 in early November. She ran a nice race at Hawthorn in the Gold Cup although we think that maybe the race was not quite run to suit her. Still, she has nothing to prove as we have all seen what she is capable of so we are looking onwards and upwards to her next start.
Dissent was back in action at Kempton last week since his debut in May and came home 6l in front showing the field a clean pair of heels. He has always been a horse that we have been excited about and the form from his first run at Ascot turned out to be extremely impressive with 4 other contenders in the race being rated 90+. He had a minor operation after Ascot and has had the best part of 4 months on the easy list. We will see how he is over the next few weeks before deciding which direction to take with him.
We have a few entries lined up for next week; Star Date may well make the long journey up to Musselburgh to take part in a 1m maiden against colts and geldings. He has matured a lot since his first run and has grown in confidence too. He is a sharp young horse with huge potential and I am sure we are going to have a great deal of fun with him.
Full Bloom is lined up for Kempton. She has been going very well at home and we have been waiting for the right opportunity to come along for her and this doesn’t look like a bad spot.
