Bank Holiday Report
25/08/2008
Saturday was a busy morning preparing our two fillies for Goodwood and Windsor.
PACHATTACK stepped up in class for the Group 3 Prestige Stakes at Goodwood. Frankie Dettori had ridden her at work during the week and was very pleased with the filly, but she lost her position during the race and was never on terms to challenge. Gerard felt that she did not handle the easy ground.
SILVER PIVOTAL returned in the Group 3 Winter Hill at Windsor. It was a competitive race, but she ran well and was unfortunately never in position to challenge the eventual winner STOTSFOLD.
We had no runners on Sunday, but on Bank Holiday Monday we have DANSANT in a conditions race at Kempton. Although a small field, we find ourselves up against HEATHSTEAD MAISON from the Mark Johnston yard. Eddie Ahern has been booked to ride and we are hoping that DANSANT can return to winning form on the all weather and improve on his position in the Glorious Stake at Goodwood.
Later in the week JADALEE and JAGGER are set to lock horns at Great Leighs on Thursday in a mile and six furlong handicap. At the entry stage this looks to be a good opportunity for both horses.
