BAHARAH takes on Matron challenge
05/09/2008
BAHARAH is set to take her chance in the Matron tomorrow with Robert Winston in the saddle, however the heavy rain over the past 48 hours may force Leopardstown to abandon. An inspection is being held at 7am tomorrow morning.
Despite the bad weather BARAHAH had a good trip to Ireland and is settling in well. She will take her chance tomorrow if the meeting goes ahead and is set to take on some very good fillies, the heavy going isn’t ideal, but all the runners will face the same conditions, so we can only keep our fingers crossed and hope the meeting goes ahead.
Gerard is off to the Keeneland sales on Sunday. Keeneland has been a great source of top class horses for decades due to the huge choice and the information available veterinary wise, which makes it easier to make decisions before the sale. Hopefully we can get our hands on some nice horses out there over the next week.
With the wet weather washing out the majority of meetings over the weekend, we will have no other runners, with only limited entries over the next few days.
