ARTE VIVA DEBUTS AT KEMPTON
04/09/2009
ELLIPTICAL made his first appearance at the July Course last Saturday, running over seven furlongs for the first time. Stephen Donohoe was in the saddle in this 0-90 handicap for three year olds. Leading for the first four furlongs, ELLIPTICAL lost his position but ran on in the latter stages of the race, claiming third place and finishing strongly.
Moments later MOUNT HADLEY found success at Beverley in a 0-80 handicap over seven furlongs. Under Neil Callan MOUNT HADLEY tracked the leaders and made headway two furlongs out, finishing strongly and winning convincingly by 3 ¼ lengths.
On Sunday BEAUCHAMP WIZARD returned to the track after a year’s break in the Fegentri World Cup of Nations, a 0-75 handicap over one mile one furlong for Amateur Riders. We had drawn Italian jockey Fabio Locatelli. The race was run at a very slow pace which did not suit WIZARD and on his return to the track he finished fifth.
DANEHILL INTELLECT had her second run on Tuesday at Leicester in a one mile ½ furlong maiden fillies race, partnered again by Adam Kirby. She was prominent throughout chasing the leaders into the final furlong where she stayed on to finish in fourth position behind Roger Charltons filly QUIET.
Last night STEF AND STELIO was stepped up in trip at Wolverhampton to run in a seven furlong claimer. He led from wire to wire and was a convincing winner under Liam Jones.
This evening sees the return of Kieren Fallon, he will be partnering ARTE VIVA as she makes her debut at Kempton this evening over seven furlongs in a two year old fillies conditions race.
Later on the same card JADALEE returns to Kempton for a two mile handicap for four year olds and upwards rated 0-70. Darryll Holland is in the saddle as JADALEE steps down in class. Hopefully he can emulate his recent success on the turf and return to the winners enclosure at Kempton.
We have one runner on Saturday at Kempton, TINAAR makes her all-weather debut in a 0-85 handicap over one mile three furlongs, she will be ridden by I. Mendizabel.
