An improved effort from Good Again
19/01/2011
Good Again upped her game last week and put an end to her disappointing run. She ran very well to finish 2nd and we were pleased that she had put in a good performance. She came out of the race very well and we are now looking towards running her again on the 29th January at Lingfield.
Distinctive Image ran slightly disappointingly on Saturday. For one reason or another he didn’t run up to the standard we know he is capable of. Despite finishing towards the back of the field, he wasn’t beaten very far so we are hoping he was just having an “off day”. We will give him a chance to freshen up while we look for his next target and hopefully by then he will have his running shoes back on!
A very promising debut was made by Full Bloom on Monday. She was beaten just over 2 lengths by the experienced horses in the race and came home the first of the debutants. Despite the inevitable first time out greenness she was the first to jump out of the gates and settled well in behind the Mark Johnston’s horse. After being caught a little flat footed, she then finished of her race very strongly. It was a nice introduction for her and very encouraging. She has come out of the race well and we will give her a couple of easy weeks to reward her efforts before running her again.
Beauchamp Viceroy will be heading off to Kempton on Sunday after his month long rest in a 1m conditions race. The race will suit him well and we are happy with the way he has been training at home. He is very fresh and seems to have put on a bit of condition over the last month so we are hoping for a good run.
Our only jumper Sole Bonne Femme is fit and well and ready to run. He has a couple of entries over the next week that we can have a look at and hopefully we will get him running. He has been schooling well at home under Will Kennedy who has been very positive about him so he will either be heading to Market Rasen or Leicester if either race suits him.
