An Exciting Month Ahead

01/12/2010

We had another successful weekend before the snow hit us here at Egerton House.

Akhmatova showed us yet again what a classy filly she has become when landing her 4th victory of the season and possibly the high light of her career so far.
She had been particularly fresh and well at home and held no prisoners when hitting the front a furlong out and winning by a cosy neck.
She will now have a few weeks to recuperate and will then head off to Deauville to run on the 18th December.

We are delighted to see our horses running better than ever at the moment, and Towering Storm continued the winning run when scoring by ¾ lengths on his debut run.
After missing the break and being slowly into stride, he had the whole field to pass. And he did just that, with a touch of class too. He has always been a good looking and nice moving horse and we had no question of his capabilities for next season, so we were thrilled that he has got off to the start that he has and that he has given the owners / breeders, Five Horses LTD their first 2 year old victory.

We have 4 strong team primed and ready to take on their French rivals over in Deauville during the course of December.
The two brothers Beauchamp Viceroy and Beauchamp Xerxes will be the first to travel, and will be running on the 8th & 9th. They will be closely followed by Akhmatova and Burj Alzain who are set to run on the 18th & 22nd.

So, despite the season being over and enduring the “Big Freeze”, the campaign goes on here at Egerton house stables and Christmas is not the only thing we have to look forward to in December!
