All well and Good

Since our last update, we are very pleased to report that we have moved and settled into our new yard at Egerton House Stables it is every bit as picturesque and peaceful as we were expecting.
We have been making good use out of the private canter here and the horses have been happily ticking over. This morning however, we crossed the National Stud for the 1st time to reach the “Choke Jade” gallop which runs alongside the famous Cesarewitch course. The ground was barley used and in perfect condition and the horses all moved up there with a spring in their step ready for fast approaching turf season.
We are all very excited for this coming season. It has been a long, cold winter but we have a lovely new yard to work from this year and the horses are shaping up nicely ready for the grass.
Mount Hadley is in particularly good form in his preparations for the Lincoln and seems to be extremely happy and confident in his new domain. Elliptical is very slightly behind schedule after getting an abscess in his foot, but luckily, he has recovered quickly and didn’t lose too much valuable training time.
Trojan Reef was our first runner from Egerton House when he ran a very promising third in a 2 mile bumper race around Lingfield. He came out of his race his sound and well and is all the more professional for it. He is now waiting in the wings for 27th March, when another bumper is coming his way and he can hopefully get a win under his belt.
