All Landed Safely
05/05/2011
Our American team left Egerton House Stables last night and have all safely landed on the other side of the pond. Andrew reported that all went smoothly. They will now spend the next 48 hours in quarantine which should give Andrew enough time to collect all of his gear from the plane!
On Saturday they will be making the drive down to Arlington Park where they will set up camp for the next few months.
Tomorrow we have two up at Chester. Cala Santanyi is looking to go a place better than her debut in a 7f maiden race and Swiss Cross is looking to redeem himself for under par performance at Yarmouth last week in a 7f handicap. Man of the moment Frankie Dettori will partner both horses. We were unlucky with both horses’ draws, but that’s out of our hands so it’s over to Frankie now to do what he does best. Both horses have been training well at home. They came out of their last races very fresh and well and we are hopeful of good shows from both.
On Saturday we have our first two year old runner Dissent taking part in a 5f maiden at Ascot. This is very early for us to have a juvenile runner but he has been showing up nicely on the gallops and is very professional. 5f may be slightly on the sharp side for him but Ascot is a good track to introduce horses to racing and we can only hope that he runs well, comes home safe and sound and can continue to improve.
