All Hopes On Dubai Bounty

We are hoping that Dubai Bounty can lighten the mood at Egerton House this evening at Yarmouth after a pretty disappointing week last week. She looks like the horse to beat in the Adio Handicap and we hope Nicky Mackay will be steering her home.
Whilst we were very pleased with Good Again’s and Quarante Deux’s runs, both these horses lacked the luck in running you need some times and it was very frustrating to see them finishing a bit further back then they perhaps could of been given a clear run. Still, that’s racing and we are pleased they both ran with promise.
Lahaleeb was our biggest disappointment of the week, finishing tailed off in the Falmouth stakes. We have been scratching our heads looking for the reason behind this and have drawn a few blanks. So, she has gone for a well earned rest in the paddock to recuperate, and hopefully when she comes back, she will be feeling refreshed and ready for action again.
Sing Sweetly put in another convincing performance to finish 3rd after running a bit too freely early on. However, she has come out the race fresh and well and we will be scouting the calendar for another suitable race before long.
After finishing 3rd in a selling race, Just Like Silk then went on to Tattersalls and made 4,000 guineas. We wish him all the best for the future.
Akhmatova returns to action at Doncaster on Thursday evening under Tom Queally. We are obviously hopeful of her chances as she won well last time despite her greenness. Hopefully this time, she will be a bit more professional and give herself an even better chance.
We have a few entries for Saturday. Tinaar’s entry in the Plantation Stud Listed race at Newmarket will depend on how much rain we see this week and we will be keeping an eye on the other entries; Trojan Reef, Good Again and Stef & Stelio to see how their races pan out
