A Bright Start To 2010

15/01/2010

In the last couple of weeks, despite the weathers best effort to spoils things, we have had two good wins from Dubai Bounty and Beauchamp Viceroy.
Dubai Bounty won well under Nicky Mackay on boxing day to give everyone an extra special Christmas Present. The form in this race has proved promising as Lovers Causeway who was 2nd  behind her went out to win at Lingfield last week.
Beauchamp Viceroy was flying the flag for us at Lingield on Saturday under Eddie Ahern with an impressive 2 ¾ length victory over the talented Aeroplane. Seeing as how he made light work of this conditions race, the handicapper has put him up a generous 12lbs making his new AWT rating 104. This along with the form he is in may well see him join his brother in the warmer climate of Dubai.
Speaking of warmer climates, we are pleased to report that Distinctive Image, Beauchamp Xerxes and Good Again have all settled in well to their new environments. Andrew was kind enough to let us know on arrival that he was having to put his AC on so one can only assume that he enjoying the sunshine. Gerard made a brief trip over this week to check that everything is in order and the horses are doing well and will be returning again to Dubai at the end of January in time for their first appearances on the 28th.
We have 3 horses possibly making their debuts next week. Quarant Deux will be making his around Wolverhampton on Tuesday, Realta at Lingfield on Wednesday and Trojan Reef in a bumper at Newbury, also on Wednesday. We are very much looking forward to seeing them run and are hopefull of promising starts and I hope Trojan Reef shows those jump boys a thing or two!
