We secured our second winner of the season on last week when Cala Santanyi won a fillies handicap at Lingfield. Although it was a small field, she won the race in a convincing fashion and we were of course very pleased with her. She has come out of the race very well and we are looking forward to having a lot of fun with her this year. We have a few options in mind for her so we should be seeing her again soon.
We also secured our third winner when Zain Princess looped the field to win comfortably at her favourite track, Wolverhampton on Wednesday. After settling at the back off a fast run race she went on to finish very strongly. We are very pleased with how well she has been running and will give her a bit of time to recuperate now after such a big effort.
Prince Alzain ran a huge race for us in the International Trial last week. He hit the front one furlong out but was nabbed by the super talented Talwar in the closing stages. His jockey was very impressed by him and we can’t wait to see what he can do this year. He came home from the race in very good shape and I’m sure there are lots of exciting races in the pipe line for him.
We have two runners on Monday, Nordic Quest will head south to Windsor to line up in a 1m3f 0-70 handicap and Hallmark Star is heading north to Pontefract for a 0-80 1m4f handicap. Both horses have done a few nice pieces of work since their runs and we are very happy with how they are going into the races.
